Service Description

Girls Academy 3 Focus: Defense Dates: October 21st - November 13th Day & Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5pm - 6pm Duration: 1 hours each session Ages: 6th – 8th Graders There will be a separate one-time practice shirt fee of $30 that covers two practice shirts, which players will keep as their own. If you already have Volitude practice shirts then don't worry about this! Prerequisite: Academy 1 (This class should be taken first or the player should have previous equivalent training). Program Details: I want to start off by saying volleyball is hard! You literally can't play volleyball at all if you can't perform the basic skills. It is very important that your daughter builds confidence with her skill development before being thrown into a full on game setting! So please be patient as you go through the repetition focused Academy practices. This will extremely benefit your child in the long run! This class will be focused on: - Teaching the girls the proper form for Defense. - They will still implement the serving and passing skills they learned in Academy 1, but now there will be an added layer of defense to that. - They will learn how to control the ball through a Serve, defend and transition to offense sequence. This is the foundation to learning defensive systems and transitioning from defense to offense! - They will participate in "game like" drills that will prepare them for the real thing. ( Make sure your daughter understands serve and pass before signing up for this class!) Notes: Please note that spots are limited and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a player is not up to speed with the rest of the class, our coaches might ask you to switch to Academy 1 to get your daughter where she needs to before taking Academy 2.
