Service Description

Girls Academy 1 Focus: Serving, Passing, and Ball Control Dates: October 21st - November 13th Day & Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 4pm - 5pm Duration: 1 hours each session Ages: 6th – 8th Graders There will be a separate one-time practice shirt fee of $30 that covers two practice shirts, which players will keep as their own. If you already have Volitude practice shirts then don't worry about this! Prerequisite: None (This class should be taken first or the player should have previous equivalent training to move on to Academy 2,3, or our more advanced programs). Program Details: I want to start off by saying volleyball is hard! You literally can't play volleyball at all if you can't perform the basic skills. It is very important that your daughter builds confidence with her skill development before being thrown into a full on game setting! So please, be patient as you go through the repetition focused Academy practices. This will extremely benefit your child in the long run! This class will be focused on: - Teaching the girls the proper form for serving and passing. The most important fundamental skills necessary to start every point in a game! - Players will also focus on ball control such as passing the ball back and fourth or using 3 touches on each side of the net for as long as possible. Ball control is the second most important fundamental skill after serve and pass! - They will participate in "game like" drills that will prepare them for the real thing. Notes: Please note that spots are limited and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sign up today and be part of this dynamic and fun class! If a player is not up to speed with the rest of the class, our coaches might ask you to switch to Academy 1 to get your daughter where she needs to before taking Academy 2.
